If there are no issues with plugging your computer into D-Sub, these monitors have 2 HDMI inputs for Xbox + PS3...

It's pretty difficult to find monitors with 2 HDMI and a DVI or DP in addition without going to really expensive monitors. You could get one with DP, DVI, and HDMI and adapt one of the consoles from HDMI to DVI but you would lose sound.

d-sub=dvi right? and is that considered HD?

D-sub = VGA. I know it gets a bad rep but it's honestly not that bad. As I said it will be almost impossible to find a monitor with 2x HDMI ports and a DVI or DisplayPort in addition unless you go to the much higher priced monitors. I'm not sure what you mean by "HD", that doesn't really mean anything. VGA can do 1080p without any issue.

I agree with Glenwing. For your budget there isn't a solution for you. And and you have to take what you can take.

I am mentioning the following just for educational purposes, and not an actual suggestions, it's obviously way out of your budget, but perhaps it might intrest people who are in your situation but have a higher budget:

The only options I can see is the Dell U2410, which drop significantly in price (used to be 750$) because it's being replaced with the U2413 (600$). Right now the U2410 is at 450$ on special, and the U2413 is at 500$ at Dell.com. While normally I would recommend the U2413, 'cause its' only 50$ difference right now, and it's a better all around (minus inputs) and also a newer monitor. Let's assume the lowest price possible as it's completely out of the budget. The U2410 has: VGA, HDMI, DisplayPort, 2x DVI, Component and also composite... so you can plug anything you want, down to even a VCR on it, or an old gaming console. Really cool, and has features like side-by-side picture-in-picture.

Now the monitor is expensive not for it's inputs, it's because the monitor is really good. It has features like color processor, Look Up Table, can output 1.07 billion colors if you have the setup and content for it, it's a fast panel for an IPS panel coming the same level as good 60Hz TN panel in terms of performance, and it uses a true 8-bit panel per channel for gorgeous color, no white LED crap back light, you have good back light technology for true whites and no tint issue on colors, and much more. You definitely get your money worth, if you wonder. And it must be noted, those monitor are NOT professional monitors, they are just high end consumer grade monitors.

There's 1080p monitor with VGA input sitting right next to me. I can verify it works just fine with my laptop...

It should I have one on my tv. But I would do a straight connection from the videocard to the monitor for the best experience.

VGA is an analog signal so is susceptible to interference. The quality of the image depends on the quality of the cable and its shielding/insulation. This just theoretical though and in general interference isn't large enough to have any discernible effect. In addition it can't support large format monitors like 2560x1600 or 120Hz 1080p. Also it has a horrible connector, HDMI is much better. HDMI and DVI on the other hand are digital signals which means any distortion can be corrected, so whatever picture you see is perfect quality. You won't really notice a difference between VGA and DVI/HDMI in the real world though.
