Unknown screen problem

I really need som help here, i got this wide invisible stripe inn the middle if the screen. I thought first that it was the flux app that caused this problem but its visible in games and everything anyway if try without flux enabled. The display is connected with dvi duallink on a gtx 670

 

also tried differenf setting on the screens menu without any help

its part of the windows background?

you see that rectangular brighter spot, its visible in games, movies etc

He said that he was seeing it while playing games

i can only just see it, take a photo of it on a black background

What monitor is this? my AOC 4K monitor has a feature called Brightframe wich allows me to boost the brightness of an area on the screen, any chance something like that is enabled?

Take a screenshot in a game and see if it shows up there. Because it might be a GPU issue, but could be a cable or monitor issue as well. If it doesn't show up in a screenshot, then I think your hardware should be ok.

tried on and off every setting on the monitor itself and no difference

thanks for the tips, i tried this and the screenshot does not have this stripe, its only on the monitor

now i've tried hdmi cable instead of dvi and i got the same problem, is it the monitor then ?

Probably. Have a TV to hook it up to?

its defently the monitor... but can the problem got caused by the same picture staying to long without out moving ?
