A question about upgrading my ram to high ammount

i have 16gb of ripjaws v @ 3200mhz but with my game play recording and video editing and certain games i often hit 11 to 14gb of ram if i have a number of apps running etc etc.

i wish to upgrade to 32gb of ram, can i just buy another dual channel kit and add it to the system or do i have to buy 32gb dual channel kit and sell my 16gb. Ive never had to upgrade ram after making a system.

you can buy another 16 and install it. just make sure you get the same kind. different frequency ram and stuff can cause problems

yea, no this might sound dumb but! getting a red kit so i have black and red shouldn't be a issue correct as long as they are both 16gb of ripjaw v 3200mhz even if my board is clocking the ram at 2133 for stability correct?
