First off, a message to any Mods/Admins that read this, I was unsure where this should go, so I am putting it here. If it is in the wrong area, my apologies. Just let me know where it is best to be placed.

Secondly, I would love to see a video on American Megatrends. Yes, the people involved in the making of your PCs BIOS/UEFI that you see before you PC finishes POSTing. I always see their logo and never really see any others. Why is it just them in this space? I also never see anyone talking about them or how they got to where they are. Similar to how you see thousands of things every day that you never stop to look at and go "Why is that there?" or "How did that come to be?". In fact, most people probably don't even know anything more than the fact that they show up on your PCs screen when booting and little more, including me. (Assuming of course that their screen isn't covered by some splash screen like how my ASUS Mobo is configured currently.) I have looked around online and don't see much about this company, (THIS Wikipedia article seems to be the most informative thing I've found.) but it has to be pretty big to have its hand in almost every PC out there. And yet for as large as I presume that they must be, no one really knows who they are.

So why would a video like this be useful? Well, some of the top search suggestions on Google seem to indicate that a ton of regular (read: non tech savvy, a.k.a probably your grandma) people are confused by this screen, particularly when it is something they see instead of the normal splash screen that says Dell or whatever. Some even believe it to be malicious. (See my example photo of a suggested related search from Google on IMGUR.) A video like this would be great to explain to those in an easy to understand and concise manner what this screen is, who American Megatrends are, and so on to someone who is confused about why their PC is showing this screen. (read: It'll help everyone who is tech support for their friends and family, I know a lot of us are.)

Thanks.

No, this forum does not support BBCode anymore.

And as for the video ideas, yea that sounds like a cool video.

But the suggestion is better of here:
