ryzen is around the corner you would profit from getting one of their low end cpus as well as you should go for 1060 instead of 480 because its more powerful and digital vibrance looks better than saturation (they are not the same thing)

Which ever one is cheaper :P

RX480 4GB>1060 3GB (both DX11 and DX12) more or less

RX480 8GB=1060 6GB (DX11)

RX480 8GB>1060 6GB (DX11/Vulkan)

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

er no its not more powerful,  theyre pretty much the same, with the 480 been faster in vulkan/dx12 and getting faster with driver updates

RX 480 8GB is better than the 1060 6GB currently. Thanks to FineWine technology, the perfromance gap will continue to improve. The theoretical power of a 480 is much greater than a 1060 in terms of TFlops, as well. FreeSync monitors are much, much cheaper than G-Sync ones.

I've seen the comparisons between the 1060 6gb and the 480 8gb.the only difference I noticed is that the RX 480 dominates vulkan benchmarks. other than that the 1060 wins by 20% imo

Depends on the individual, some people don't like to take risk of it dying within a few months and having no warrenty

I really wish people would get over the whole bottleneck phrasing. It's like the forum learns a new term and immediately applies it to everything. Bottle necking with anything i3 and over is extremely rare, and even when it happens it barely affects performance.
