Laptop powers on, then off, except when unplugged.

So my laptop (Dell Inspiron 5559) has been acting strangely recently. When I turn it off and try to start it back up, it sometimes won't boot up (The light on the front turns on for a second, then the power off sound is heard and it all shuts down). The only way I can get around it is by unplugging the power adapter from it. I have no idea what the issue could be. I'm guessing power something, either the battery, charger, or a power circuit on the mainboard. I am running secure boot off, if that helps (for my xubuntu installation). I have tried resetting the bios multiple times, and this keeps happening.

Any help would be amazing.
