1070 and 1080

am looking at making the upgrade to 4k will a 1070 cut it? or do i need to go for a 1080 or bit of a long shot buy a sli MB and run to 1070's?

you dont need a 'sli MB' most support it, and yours does if it is correct in your signature

id personally say a 1080

it most likely is, pure because sli isnt supported for most games

as i said i wud have to buy a new mb but 2 1070 at 960 and a single 1080 is 700 would the extra cost be worth it? or should i just go balls to the wall and get a titan x or can the 1080 handle 4k 60fps on its own?

as i said a 1080 handles everything more than good, and sli is not supported for most games

so then you game on one 1070

i'm about 99% sure its only the titan x, because from what im aware the titan xp is a slight bump over the 1080

mm, but i wouldn't recommend the titan anyway, since there is only reference available, a decent 1080 (evga, asus) still won't perform as well as a titan xp but will out perform the reference 1080 and do it almost silently in some cases (strix)
