Excel/Google sheets help

My problem is I get an excel file that contains my schedule every week and what I'm doing I'd like if I could use a Google script to automatically find items with my name on them and highlight the cell right above it that contains what I'm doing and export them to my calendar. Does anyone have any experience doing something like this? If it could be done I'd give it to everyone else so they can use it as well thanks!
