Bottlenecking?

So, I have a GTX 745(4GB), from a pre-built of course, and I wanted to know if the GPU was getting bottle necked by my CPU which is a Intel Core i5-6400@2.70GHz.

 

If so, what kind of upgrades should I make to my PC?

No a Skylake CPU can easily handle a GTX 7XX card

I'd get a new GPU. Thing is holding back is not CPU but the GPU. Just look at CPU usage in game, if it is way high and almost at 100% it is but I can't imagine that happening

You should get (if you have over $200 to spend) a 1060 6gb or a rx 480 8gb.  If you have less than $200 to spend, a 470 or 1050 ti.

 

edit: No bottleneck btw and that's a weird pair

No, the CPU is absolutely not the bottleneck, it can pretty much handle a 1070. Sounds like it's GPU upgrade time for you, the RX470/480 is doing well atm.

I just played some Overwatch on medium settings and I checked the CPU Usage with task manager, Overwatch was taking up about 45 percent CPU usage on average in-game.

It was an OEM card, came in prebuilds from Alienware etc. The 750Ti used to be a good upgrade for them, as an indicator of performance.

What was your FPS and GPU load?
