It supports 16gb, it just isn't listed as supporting 16gb due to reasons (cost/hard to find 8gb DIMMs at the time?).

I cannot deal with that LOL. God bless Thinkpad and battery life. When I'm remoting in and running heavy loads I still get like 5 hours. Just writing up bloody reports I get like 11 hours.

In fairness, after 13,000 hours of use, my battery is on its 1970th cycle and it's only rated for 1000 cycles. When it was new, it was more like every eight hours.
