I recently bought an rx 480 nitro+ 8GB, but i have a problem. I mainly play World of Tanks and after a while (playing for +/- 1 hour) the driver crashes and causes the game to crash too. So do some of you have any idea why that happens? Could the problem come from the PSU not being powerful enough (450W)?

Here is what i already did, but didn't solve the issue:

  • Go back to windows 7
  • Install driver from CD and from the internet
  • Reinstalling the driver (did it many times)
  • Reintalling the game

Here all of the specs from my PC:

  • CPU: i5-4440
  • GPU: RX 480 nitro+ 8GB
  • RAM: 8GB G.Skill 1600 DDR3
  • Motherboard: Asrock B85M-HDS
  • PSU: Corsair VS450 (maybe not powerful enough?)
  • OS: Windows 10 64bit
  • Driver version: 17.1.1

Thanks for your help & time!

PSU is plenty powerful. Update all of your drivers and keep an eye on temps. If this doesnt solve the problem, RMA the GPU.
