Nvidia Tesla, quadro, and the likes.

Hey fam, wtf is nvidia tesla? is it an architecture? is it sorta like quadro? What would happen if you tried to play crisis on it? If it's not possible to play crisis, (either due to low fps, or what the card is intended for) maybe a brief explanation as to why it exists? Who the fuck wants to buy this? the same poeple that want to buy quadro's? tesla motors?

The Tesla and Quadro products are meant for professional use. The Geforce products are for gaming. As far as I know they can run games similarly to how comparable Geforce cards do, just at prices that don't make any sense for consumer use.

 

My understanding is that Quadro cards are intended specifically for 3D modeling work and actually differ very little from the Geforce cards of the same generation, aside from a larger pool of VRAM and the drivers. Tesla cards are meant for computation.
