It performs similarly while being quieter.

I see. I looked around for the SW3 PWM version and I saw on NCIX and newegg that they were more expensive than the noctua's. So I bought the noctua's instead. Should I have bought the SW3? The 1450RPM PWM SW3 is a little cheaper but not by much.

Like I said, SW3's would be better.

They're cheaper on newegg: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/WrvZxr/be-quiet-bl066-505-cfm-120mm-fan-bl066

The high speed version is also similarly priced if you need to shop from ncix for some reason. http://www.ncixus.com/products/?usaffiliateid=1000031504&sku=136746&promoid=1299

Oh, I didn't notice that you were using Canadian sites.

The NF-F12 iPPC is good but there are better or cheaper fans. If you're alright with grey and don't mind cancelling the order, a NF-S12B would be quieter and save a bit of money. https://www.amazon.ca/Noctua-NF-S12B-redux-1200-120x120x25mm-1200rpm/dp/B00KHRGQOU/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1487144373&sr=1-8&keywords=pwm+noctua

Alright. Are there any other fans you would recommend over the NF-F12s?

Hyperboreas aren't necessarily better but are much cheaper: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/qKvRsY/rosewill-case-fan-rocf11004

Has anyone had experience with Coolermasters Silencio or Masterfan Air pressure fans? Those are cheaper where I live and I have heard some good things about the Silencios.

Alright. I heard about the new corsair ml120 pros. Do you know how good those are?

They're high performance fans that aren't that loud. They aren't as quiet as the other fans already mentioned in this thread.

They're good but not amazing. The MasterFan Air is similar to the ML's in that they are good high rpm fans that are relatively quiet. If you're mainly looking for a quiet fans, skip this. Silencios are quiet but sacrifices more airflow for static pressure in its design and wouldn't as good as the other fans previously mentioned.

Alright thanks for the info. My friend works at a computer shop and they have Pure wings 2. Would that be good?

Alright thanks. I'll see what I can get my hands on. If I were to get a noctua fan it would be the black ones, not sure the model name.

If your on a budget, get the cougar fan. But if money is no object, then get a Noctua.

I would get a noctua but I do not like the colours and I have a side window. I would get a industrial noctua but if I don't need the extra power why spend the extra money on it? I was thinking about just going with fractal Venturi's, be quiet fans or corsair ml fans.

Tried to cancel the newegg order for the Noctua fan I bought but it seems that didn't go through. So I guess I will be receiving the noctua fan instead of the venturi's I wanted. Just wondering people that have the Noctua industrial are they very loud?

They're loud at max rpm. If you run them lower, they're still good--just not as good as the normal ones when it comes to acoustics. If you want them very quiet, aim for <600rpm.

I have heard they are almost silent under 1000 rpm or so. If they are to loud for me then I'll just try to return them.
