Classic Computer Won't Boot Cliche
3 minutes ago, C0smicUn1verses said:I got a computer a couple weeks ago, and I got all the parts to it except the power supply. I had some friends come over, but the power supply that was suppose to come with the computer (Separate from the computer case) would come about a week after they came over. So I did some quick (but bad) thinking, and took an old PSU from an older computer that I knew worked. Long story short, the computer power flickered on and off, the fans, and the power LEDs turned on... then off... then on etc. posted nothing. After we reset it, it would not work at all for days. I did multiple troubleshooting pages, but nothing, The new PSU came, and still noting worked. Help?
I'm afraid it might be dead.
You might have a dead computer. NEVER trust old psus when testing. It could fry your CPU with too many volts.
