Which one would you pick

  1. 1. Which one would you pick

    • Seagate Barracuda 3TB (ST3000DM008) $125
      7
    • Toshiba 3TB (DT01ACA300) $100
      8

I am not sure if it is worth it to spend more on a seagate, or to just get the cheapest 3TB drive.

It will be used for storing games, movies, documents, downloads... Windows and key programs will go on an SSD.

The only reason I'm here is that I have homework that I don't want to do

All depends on the application. I have a school chromebook with 4gb of storage, and that has lasted me for 3 years now without me having to delete a single file or app. On the other hand, my desktop has a 3tb hdd and 1tb of ssd storage, and i have used about 3/4 of that storage so far.

I would buy the Wd Blue 4Tb Though if its available.

But if the option is limited i would go with the toshiba.

1. Pretty sure it's a bit more monies (or at least it kinda is in the UK)

2. It's a 5400RPM drive that's also just a rebranded green drive :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

1.Yeah why the price in UK is slightly more expensive?

2.Really?? :o

Everything is more expensive in the UK.

Green and blue drives are being merged into just blue. Not a bad thing though, slower RPM drives have their uses. I use them in my NAS to keep vibrations down.

Yep, all 5400RPM WD blue drives are just relabelled greens :/

Only the <1TB 7200RPM drives are the original blues...
