hey all.

I have come for some help and advice again.

Ive been researching like crazy but cant find a way out.

My girls pc keeps getting random BSOD's (clock_watchdog_timeout)

From research it was AI suite 3 was causing the issue and we removed that fixed the issue for a while. Then we had to reinstall her pc and a fresh installation of windows 10. Everything went fine i mean it was peaceful (for about 3 weeks) until now and she got the random bsod while launching a game (ghost in the shell first assault)

from the logs:

Level	Date and Time	Source	Event ID	Task Category
Error	2017-02-02 18:25:59	Application Error	1000	(100)	"Faulting application name: KaveXTDMonitor.exe, version: 0.1.0.29, time stamp: 0x52d35cfb

Any advice or a fix for this?

Thanks in advance!

we have set her bios to default and its been running smooth ever since for about 3 weeks and now this. cause its really strange why would it overclock itself when its set to default.

Just to make sure.... Reset CMOS and check if the issue persists...

what CPU are you using?

i know for a fact that windows 8 and 7 don't like +5Ghz clocks on CPU's as they crash

are you running kaby-lake? if so are you running windows 7 or 8?

if so upgrade to 10 as thats officially supported.

****SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH IT'S REALLY TERRIBLE*****

Been married to my wife for 3 years now! Yay!

yup we have done that but same results

I have asked her to get an USB stick and later we are going to try to update the bios see if that resolves the issues
