MONITOR WORKS IN SAFE MODE BUT NOT IN NORMAL

1Gigabyte

So when i bought my pc i used a 19" samsung monitor which worked fine at first. I then moved my pc down stairs to my toshiba 32" tv because i needed to connect to the wifi with a cable. It was working fine until my wifi usb came today and i tried to connect my pc back up to my samsung monitor, IT works in safe mode but in normal mode (if i go through bios first) shows an image and when it logs ing there is no picture and it says "mode not supported". I have tried changing the resolution to almost all combinations and every single recommended one. What should i do now?

I'd bet it's driver issue. In safe mode basic microsoft driver is used instead if propriertary one so that's why it works then. Reinstalling driver seems like the easiest solution. Go into safe mode and unninstall and then install after rebooting into normal mode.

Its trying to use a resolution the monitor doesn't support. Try either reinstalling drivers as suggested above, or plug in a secondary one, and try to use it to lower the resolution of the samsung

I'd start with checking if my audio device shows up as plugged in.

It shows that the speakers are making sound but id dont hear anything. There is my monitors speaker i think but also it says that the "digital audio (hdmi)" is not plugged in?

I'm assuming you use analog speakers, with this kind of plug:

a20_auxin_acc_bl_lg.jpg

And taht would mean that you have wrong audio device set as default.

It means that your sound card is fine I suppose.

Have you tried ever listed audio device? Are you sure your speaker isn't simply muted (fully turned down)?
