Bitfenix Alchemy 2.0 Seasonic for Corsair Rm850x

I bought Bitfenix Alchemy 2.0 Seasonic open box for Corsair RM850x and found it incompatible in a hard way.

 

Should I return the whole thing? or should just buy the cables that are incompatible?

 

Are all of the cables incompatible or is it just the 24pin mobo cable?

 

I bought open box $38 and I will get about $20 back if I return it.

I just bought RM850x.

I am thinking of ASRock Pro z270, 7600k, ASUS 1060 3g for now.

How does it not work? Won't fit in the case I assume?

They fit, but from trying to jump the PSU with the wire clip, it does not work. (I have connected a fan controller that is connected with PATA interface) If I try with original cable that came with the PSU, it works.

Well the pin outs aren't always the same. So if the extensions  aren't working, ordering custom cables would next choice.

return it and go for our C-Series RMi/RMx - works perfectly with your PSU and even features the capacitors to support the Type 4 feature (http://www.corsair.com/en/blog/2015/july/explanation-of-rmi-new-type-4-cables)
