Looking for Constructive Input.

Go to solution Solved by WereCat,

65*C is good. The issue with your CPU is that it uses so much power and the VRMs on the motherboard are in huge load and those are usualy what gets a lot more hot than 65*C in this case. Make sure you have good airflow there. (which you probably have looking at all the fans :D )

What this machine is is the final point of my fx-9590 build it is all EK products except for some fans and the 45 degree fittings it has two GTX 970 overclock Edition from MSI. The case is obviously the air 740 my question would be when I'm running my tests my CPU gets to 65° C.

Would it make a difference to change that top radiator to a 140 millimeter to help with that?

I have some pictures it's not one hundred percent because there are fans that I still want to change out but like the title says I'm looking for some constructive input on this build and any changes I could make to help my Temps.

Thanks for reading and any input.

That's just the typical temperature of this CPU. It's been quoted as being a mini nuclear reactor strapped to a motherboard.

Not too surprising given its 220w TDP.

How it runs that hot and only gets that kind of performance...

Wouldn't be concerned with stress testing numbers. Unless that's what the pc was build for.

I knew this going in, , I have the utmost respect for Intel Users,, Intel is so good at So many things.

My point is,, I prefer gaming at 2560x1440,, I have an 8 core CPU at 5.0Ghz,, two 970's and it pegs my monitor at 75fps. ~V-sync~ on. I hate Tearing

I wouldn't use the Intel any other way,,, so with that said,, AMD,, For me, Is the cost effective choice.

Running push/pull on that rad or swapping to better fans would help those temps. I hate that rad. I took it out of my 540 while having it front mounted. Even in my other pc it isn't that great.

Could put the fans on the outside then you could fit 3 more. Get ride of one 140 and add a bit more hose at the top. Then you could fit 3 more. Or get better fans.

If you are talking about the Three fans on my front Rad.

Those are NFF12's,, and push~pull is not an option.

Ask Linus about the NFF12 man,,,,

Yea I ran the same fans on the same rad. Horrid performance together.

It is an option. Isn't hard to make it work but it really depends.
