Do you get any beep codes booting with no ram installed? If not, usually a sign of a mobo problem.

when i installed a speaker to the motherboard all i got when i turned on the machine was 3 long beeps

remove EVERYTHING, 

 

put back EVERYTHING

 

only a rice size quantity of thermal paste

 

99% chance problem solved

Have you tried the ram in the other Dimm slots? ensured all power connections are secure (I've been so sure of this in the past and caught out on it.)

i ordered a new stick of ram that i will test it out later
