I am trying to build a workstation computer to hold me over until later in the year when I build my two PC workstation. (From my other topic, for those who were assisting me).

I need someone to proofread through the build, make any suggestions, and I need to figure out a good server rack, and what kind of chassis will fit that rack.

This is my current build...

Please ignore the case, as I would prefer this build to reside in a server rack with more of my equipment in the future.

I am trying to keep the price for this set up around $2,500. I think I have a pretty good build for my purposes. Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Dream Weaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Unreal Engine 4, Music DAWs/VSTs.

This isn't supposed to compare to my other super-builds, but just something more capable than an 8GB ram/2-core system with lower end graphics, that can better handle my needs.

A few things that use some help. The biggest dollar amounts are the RAM and the graphics card. Is there a cheaper alternative (that won't sacrifice too much quality) for the 64GB RAM? I would like to keep it at 64GB, but something less expensive, if possible? The graphics card can actually be used again later in a higher end build, but if there is an equal alternative for less, please let me know.

Possibly more importantly, as I'm even more confused by this, I need to find a suitable server rack/cabinet. For some reason, everywhere I look online, they are upwards of $500?

If I were to buy a server 42U server rack like this...

could someone explain to me the dimensions of the actual chassis for the PC that I would need to buy, or throw a few recommendations my way, so I could go look it up. For someone reason, no matter how much I search on the internet, I can't seem to find a reliable answer, which I figure would've been something simple?

It is alright if it is meant for E-ATX boards, as I might upgrade in the future. I believe most of ATX will fit in E-ATX chassis. It might also help if there are a lot of HDD/SSD drive bays.

I'm mostly concerned about it fitting into the server rack that I posted in my first post?

I would suggest this build because when you upgrade it to a extremely good workstation pc, the onlything that will need to be replaced is the cpu(you might also want another 1080)

A few questions to the post above...

The CPU seems like it is less, for around the same price, why do you suggest it?

Do you think that Seagate is superior to Western Digital, and if so, why? I might think so too, because of what I heard about some of Western Digital's dropping of features, but they haven't died on me before, yet.

To answer your other questions...

The Samsung drives are great, and definitely faster, but only until they die. From what I have heard, they will drop out a lot faster than an Intel.

As for the trackball, it is an accessory, and doesn't make a difference. I am an expert with a trackball. No regular mouse could compare.

Anyone who can help me with the chassis? That is the part that is still confusing me... what kind of E-ATX chassis could fit into a 42U server rack like the one I posted?
