Graphics card suggestion?

Go to solution Solved by Goldensapling,

A full list of things that work well that you could probably get for ~$80 :

R9 380

R9 380x

R9 280x

R9 290

R9 290x

GTX 780

GTX 770

The Radeon versions of the R9 cards

eBay, Craigslist, GPUShack, and /r/HardwareSwap are your friends

You could probably find an R9 380 on /r/hardwareswap for $80 - $90

If you can't go for a R9 280/290 on eBay or something.

I need a graphics card to pair with this (link). My budget is around $80, and I'll buy used unless the benefits of buying a new card are really that great.

if you can stomach an extra $20-40 then you could get an rx 460

With a good overclock the chip won't hold back the graphic card, used 380 would be perfect if you can find it

Skylake can perform that well on integrated graphics, that's a waste of money.

Maybe his board (also not referenced) does not have integrated graphics... I've got nothing to go on other than the OP needs a GPU.

Regardless of CPU, there is basically zero reason why anybody would spend the same amount of money on a 710 over a 380

If i was going for a silent low power build that didn't require heaps of power, i can see PLENTY of good reasons to choose the 710 over the r9 380.

since @GenialGiraffe hasn't told anyone what's wanted out of this GPU, ...I mean this is a POORLY worded and, frankly so far poorly answered, topic.

You're not wrong, he didn't really give us anything to go off of.

For a silent build, you're spot on but who actually builds those

My only complaint is the gigantic power difference, a potato can render more frames than that
