Using HDMI Splitter To use Internal Graphics and Nvidia GTX 1060

I just assembled a new computer with an Nvidia GTX 1060 and MSI h110 gaming motherboard i occasionally test and use many other OS other than windows eg: Porteus,Phoenix O.S.,Ubuntu gnome,Remix OS etc but i have found out that apart from windows 10 no other os supports this graphics card as they fail to boot but when i switch to integrated graphics in my Bios it works perfectly thus this always involves me unplugging the HDMI from my graphic card port and plugging it to my motherboard port  thus overtime it might spoil the plug and also i don't want the hassel to plug and unplug everytime i came accross this problem. I recently came accross this  HDMI 1 to Dual 2 Adapter Cable and was wondering if it would work attaching one to the graphics card and other to the motherboard HDMI and since only one of them will give signal at a time there would be no conflict any help or suggestion would be appriciated........

No, those are for multiple outputs, not multiple inputs. It is very possible they won't work.

I would run 2 cables up to the monitor and swap the inputs if your monitor has more than 1 input, or get a switch (you see these sometimes in home theatre setups). Basically you run the GPU and the integrated graphics into the device, and one display cable from that device to the monitor, and it'll allow you to toggle between which input will be displayed (CPU or GPU)

Main Rig: R9 5950X @ PBO, RTX 3090, 64 GB DDR4 3666, InWin 101, Full Hardline Watercooling

Server: R7 1700X @ 4.0 GHz, GTX 1080 Ti, 32GB DDR4 3000, Cooler Master NR200P, Full Soft Watercooling

LAN Rig: R5 3600X @ PBO, RTX 2070, 32 GB DDR4 3200, Dan Case A4-SFV V4, 120mm AIO for the CPU

HTPC: i7-7700K @ 4.6 GHz, GTX 1050 Ti, 16 GB DDR4 3200, AliExpress K39, IS-47K Cooler

Router: R3 2200G @ stock, 4GB DDR4 2400, what are cases, stock cooler

I don't have a problem...
