Which card is better.

Burnedice25

I know it's nvidia vs AMD and I know I can't compare clock speeds but I can't find these extract models on any website. I gonna be using these card for low end gaming and a bit of video editing.

360 by quite a way, a 730 is similar to onboard intel HD

I'd be more worried in being able to actually play games since a GT 730 isn't capable to play a lot of titles at 60fps 1080p, are you upgrading a system or building a new one?

730 isn't really fast enough to make an impact for video editing, depends on the rest of the system, CPU/ram etc

I'm building a new one but I gonna get some stuff from EBAY and some parts new, I don't really know what I'm gonna get I'm just tossing around some ideas, might just stick what ever card I get into a dell optiplex or something, and change out the CPU to a Q6600

you could probably find a haswell i5 system on ebay for pretty cheap and just swap the powersupply and gpu out.

https://www.reddit.com/r/hardwareswap is a good place to find deals.

An RX 460 would be more powerful than both. Can you find a cheap one? You don't need high VRAM amounts for editing (afaik), only high RAM amounts.

I will have a look now but I'm trying to go really low budget, I want the video card to be under $150 AUD but I will have a look

With a really quick look I found one that's a bit over budget but if it's worth it I will get it

-snip-

It's much more powerful than either of the previous choices and if you can stretch for it, then go for it.

Is the TDP much higher? I don't want to spend that much on a PSU

It's around 16% more powerful than the R7 360 to be exact

It draws little power, even crappy PSU units should be able to support the RX 460.

What PSU have you chosen atm? Also, TDP isn't power consumption, it's a measure of the heat produced, but even then it's not accurate for comparisons because there's no standard for measurement. You could run that whole system on a 350W PSU, with headroom to spare.

@Morgan MLGman It's still more powerful though :P

Would it (or get) bottle necked by a Q6600 or a i5 2400?
