Rotate motherboard inside Case to house Graphic card

Hello good people,

I bought a new RX 480 , only to find out later that my case is too small to house it. I plan to rotate the motherboard in the case, as i do not tamper with the I/O once i have setup.

My major problem are the standoffs

1.I am in no condition to remove them, as they have been screwed really tight and the case is 9 years old, so they are jammed IMHO.

2.I was planning on Sticking a cardboard slab on top of the standoffs and use that as the base.( I do not know how to achieve sturdiness.)

Please help me 1 and let me know if 2 is a feasible temporary option.

Thank you

Have you considered mounting your GPU vertically using extension cables

I have, PCI risers are my last option, because in India, the riser is almost 60% the cost of a budget case, it also won't give me any stability. Can you suggest an alternative to standoffs. Thank you

What about the existing standoffs ? they do not come out. I have tried pliers as well.

Is it not possible for you to order online ? It only cost 678.09 rupees .

You can saw them off and then use a sandpaper to make them flat

if the thread is eating itself when you try turning them, then cutting them off is the best option. if they are just not turning at all when you try it with the pliers, you might want to consider stepping up the tools to maybe a bahco or something with a bit more grip.

This is not an option as the case width is too less. the drive cage comes in the way for vertical mounting.
