Corsair H110i

Recently upgraded from Cooler Masters V6GT to Corsairs H110i.

Not so sure if im pleased with it compared to my old one or am i having difficulties with this product.

So far im sure i connected everything and correctly and is using original stock settings from corsair.

My room temp is roughly around 25C, however my cpu average temperature is roughly around 33-35C with an average CPU load of 7% (Temp and Load updates every second).

Any idea if this is normal or not?

CPU is i7-2600k Stock No OC.

Absolutely normal. Using any consumer grade hardware it's impossible to fall below the ambient temperature, and 1:1 heat transfer isn't practical (so the CPU can't be the same exact temp as your ambient.)

Try loading the CPU with something...

For idle temps (when compared to your ambient temps), they look fine but idle temps doesn't really say much about a cooler...

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

What? As I said, there seriously is nothing here :)

Ima try run BF4 in the mean time see the CPU Temp.

Although that wouldn't properly stress your CPU, it's enough to see temps under some form of load :)

@Jade @Mr.Meerkat I understand, so run something like CPU Stress Test to make sure?

There's several tools good for stressing. Linpack/Intel Burn Test, x264 (google "OCUK x264"), Prime95, AIDA. All of the tools have free versions, and

If you choose Linpack, know that Linpack is made by Intel, and has arguably the highest temperatures your CPU will possibly get since it's an artificial load tailored for their own hardware.

Sounds great! Thanks! Will give it a try sometime soon and update.

@Jade @Mr.Meerkat

Used Prime95.

CPU Load 100%

Temp on H110i Stock settings Maxed @52C

Temp on H110i Peformance Setting Maxed @49C, sometimes 50C.

Some what good?

Yup, that's pretty reasonable. That load is significantly higher than what you'll pretty much ever see in practical use. An i7-920 & your old cooler (older CPU than yours but it was overclocked a bit) had a peak temperature of 70C, so you're shaving off a good 20C on full load and probably 5-15 while idle. Not to mention, the H110 is probably a ton quieter when it load goes up. :)

Those temps are all good :)
