Will a Hpyer 212 Evo fit?

MillAsusRog

Case looks standard but usually mounting may not work because OEMs suck when it comes to motherboards - can you check the motherboard and send us a picture?

idk

Okay I'll see if I can get a picture of the motherboard.

That board's fine but there might not be enough space behind the motherboard tray for a backplate when using aftermarket mounting hardware.

What cpu are you cooling and why are you looking to get a new cooler?

I'm cooling an Intel i5 6400 and the crappy cooler that comes with it, doesn't cool it well when I'm gaming.. I just need a better cpu cooler than what I have now. Lenovo put some other crappy cooler instead of the Intel stock coolers i think..

What are your load temps?

no, the 212 will not fit.

the 92mm rear fan is pretty much flush with the side panel mount. the 212 with the 120 fan will not allow the side panel to be attached.

Around 57*C or higher. If I play longer than 15 minutes i start to thermal throttle I think..

The 6400 is fine up to 80-90c at load. You shouldn't be experiencing any thermal throttling with your temps.

Then I don't know what's causing it to drop frames.

Then it's a matter of troubleshooting--you should probably make a thread in the Troubleshooting subforum describing your issue with a list of your specs.
