Mirroring Application?

Go to solution Solved by Light-Yagami,

As far as I know, this is a great program

https://www.teamviewer.com/en/?pid=google.tv_exact.s.int&gclid=Cj0KEQiA_KvEBRCtzNil4-KR-LIBEiQAmgekFywmOmFG3Sp-33gE8Z4g64hDjK1Z880joUvG_q8MxAMaAp0w8P8HAQ

I don't use it, but Linus Sebastian does, so It must be good.

I was looking for an application for windows 10 that can allow me to mirror my screen to a different computer that is not on the same network. It would be used so that me and my friend that doesn't live nearby anymore can watch some movies I have. Something similar to the rabb.it website. It has to be able to transmit sound so not like Skype screen share, and preferably with an easy to use UI and not too much latency. Googles Remote control could be nice if it didn't give him control of the PC and transmitted sound.

Thanks in advance!

As it is for movies, isn't it easier to set up a Plex server with your movie library? Teamviewer is great for maintenance or computer help but is not intended for video streaming and video quality/audio sync may be rubbish (or it'll use much more bandwidth). Plex is purely intended for video streaming.

I don't have the movies/videos downloaded.

Sorry for responding so late, I was away from my PC for a period.

Thanks for the Response though,

I have trouble understanding your use case. Where do you get movies you want to watch (DVD, streaming...) ?

Do you want to watch them at the same time as your friend (and live comment, chat during the movie) or do you want your friend to watch a movie from your computer when he wants?

Sorry if it was obvious.
