Home WiFi

Go to solution Solved by toasty6776,

Is your home wired for ethernet? Or do you have any other way of getting ethernet from your modem/router to the far end of your home?

If you can answer either of these with yes, you can go with some Unifi AP AC lite/pro which will get you stellar wifi performance wherever you put it and you can place multiple APs around your house.

If you can't get ethernet everywere in your house you can pick up something like Google Wifi (if you live in the US) which works wirelessly (apart from a power lead to every unit) and should also greatly improve your wifi connection if you're having issues right now.

I would not recommend using a repeater unless it is your last resort (repeaters are awful) and the same holds true for powerline.

So my router doesn't provide very good signal to the far ends of my home. If I wanted to increase the coverage, without actually having to change which router I am connected to, what exactly would I need to accomplish this?

I hear signal extenders are often ineffective so a viable alternative would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
