Any tips on a desk pc build?

Hi, has anyone got any tips or experience with building a desk PC?

 

 I'm looking for some tips on a good amount fans to keep it cool, were should I buy cable grommets and also were do i buy USB and power buttons.

 

Also, some do's and don'ts on the build would be good. Any more information would be great.
