Is something wrong with my internet?

So i got TWC/Spectrum (100mbps) internet and ever since the first day ive been running speed test and I've never seen it go over 50mbps. I know that its not always gonna be at 100mbps but is something wrong or is it just the way it is?

if your ISP wasnt an ass they would have a minimum guaranteed speed, but since you live in the country of corporate lawbuying, you're SoL.

Ive tested it with ethernet as well and got the same results.

i guarantee you they have a clause in their EULA that says they cant guarantee speeds, because they damn well know half of their custommer base cant reach them.

which is my feeling every time i need to deal with ISPs that pull the BS op is dealing with.

 

i'm very happy with my ISP guaranteeing 90% of their listed speeds

instead focus that energy at your ISP, if there's enough people ranting their asses off maybe comcast may realise that needing bullet proof glass in your stores to protect the salesfolks isnt normal.

Id call and validate you actually are subbed to 100 Mbps. They could just have your modem provisioned wrong. We have Comcast 75/10 and we get 90/12 most of the time.
