Which Power supply?

MekaStrix

Hi,

So I received my RMA replacement for my AX860i but it took so long to get my replacement about a month that I already bought a new PSU now I am trying to decide whether I keep the Corsair AX860i or the EVGA Supernova P2 I was originally planning to sell the Corsair replacement but now just want to check which is the better psu as i'd rather keep the better psu for myself xD

Seems a bit risky putting both up for sale at the same time in case they both sell whilst i'm at work and then i'd be without a psu lol

Hmmm but no PC which means no Overwatch how'd I survive lol xD I think I could get more money for the corsair cause new they sell for £205 here whereas the EVGA one was only £110 the corsair is 860watts the EVGA is 750watts but I think for my PC even the EVGA is a bit overkill my specs are 5960x, 32gb G.Skill Trident Z RGB, GTX 1080 and then 2 SSD's and one M.2 so not overly power hungry i'd say 550watts max

I'd bet you never pull more than around 350w.

Probably wouldn't lol I never plan on doing dual GPU again now I switched from 2 watercooled Titan X's to a Single 1080 Strix and I haven't regretted it at all I get better frame rates in the majority of games I play less stutter and easier to use OBS for streaming with a single card

AX will likely be easier to sell, it's a Corsair product. Sell that and keep the P2.

I've not had much luck with corsair products in recent years I'm sure their quality has gone down a bit but then the same can be said for companies like MSI and Acer QC isn't the same these days

Yeah but Corsair's name is out there which means there's always going to be a market for it. Less knowledgeable people who are looking for a PSU tend to automatically assume Corsair is better because that's what everybody buys.
