To be honest the choice is quite wide.

2 years ago I purchased an Elephone P6000 and it's the best phone I've ever had. Never freezes, battery lasts the full day with medium-high usage.

That's a 5" screen though.

There are several 5.5"/5.7" chinese phones out there that offer good specs at a good price so look around and make sure to check reviews.

From my experience, Elephone, while not the uprising popular brands (yet) is quite reliable so (think it's called) P9000 may suit you.

I never advise anyone to get stuff like iphones/samsung/htc anymore because the specs just don't excite me at their prices.

Do you watch with or without headphones? If you don't use headphones, having a phone with good stereo front facing speakers does SO much to improve the experience. Once you use them you never want to go back to mono rear firing tinny crap.

I use head phones occasionally but when I am cooking I use the speaker on the phone.
