Hey! 

 

Anyone here know what type of benchmarking software I should use to test my new PC? I would prefer free ones but its ok if they're not.

I used free ones for a while but eventually spent the money and bought 3DMark, I used to do tons of benchmarking and overclocking on my PC, it was a worthy purchase for me. 3DMark does have a free version you can use too (which I used before buying it).

 

For stress testing I've used AIDA64.

Furmark stresses the video card(s) unnecessarily to the point where NVIDIA and AMD drivers have the cards automatically throttle back whenever it's running. It's not even a proper stability test either as people have tested their overclocks with Furmark, and they passed. But when loading a game, the overclock would fail.
