G'day fellas,

I have put together a system today and got caught out. I have a Gigabyte GA-H110M-H Socket 1151 board and put an I3 7100 in it.

Turned it on no post just kept powering down and back on again. So at first im like oh no dead cpu on arrival.

But of coarse I overlooked that in the end I need to update the bios for this model of board to read the CPU.

I luckily have a friend who has a skylake cpu I can use to do this process and finish the build.

What I need to know is if I update the bios do I need to update it in sequence or can I update straight to latest update on Gigabyte website.

Thanking you

You can update straight to the latest one; no need to update to each successor until you reach the latest.
