I'd say 460 because it's more modern and so will have better support.

Actually, the 760 performs about 25% better... but the 460 will improve over time thanks to AMD's FineWine(tm) technology

Not quite as gaming benchmarks suggests :P (yes I know it's only 5 benchies but still, the RX460 beats the 760 in 2 games without factoring in DX12 and vulkan games).

if by that, you mean new price, then you got your answer right there :P

 

in theory the GTX760 is faster, but its also quite the power hungry card in comparison, and you never really know the kind of horrors you'll find under the hood of a second hand card. for all you know some guy "fixed" his iffy card with a hairdryer (which by the way, under some circumstances is possible.) and in a month it'll cut out again.

 

i've been keeping a logitech performance MX alive with a hairdryer, and i cant really recommend the experience :P

I have an r9 270x 2gb, which is very comparable to the RX 460. I have no issues playing many games at medium to high settings. The 460 is by far the better choice. Why spend the money on older tech when you can get the latest tech. If you combine that 460 with a free sync monitor with a wide range refresh rate, you will really enjoy some smooth gameplay.
