Starting With Arduino

So my end goal here is to make a sort of kinematic arm using servo motors. I'm trying to make this to get started with Arduino, although I don't know where to start.

 

I'm thinking about buying this kit:

the one from ebay looks better because I see more potential with the components although i have not had good experience with off brand arduino unos. you will need to buy more parts regardless for your robot arm anyway... i would get the ebay kit just remeber to test it as soon as you get it and if it doesnt work dont wait to get a refund. good luck!

As I always say to the decision between genuine and eBay is go for eBay unless you want to support arduino.

The genuine ones are higher quality and you have less issues with hardware. you will also get the occasional dead one, but the price makes up for that, just test everything before using it in a project. I bought two genuine ones for prototyping/testing and used eBay ones in the actual projects.
