k70

Andrew529

I decided to get a K70 keyboard but there is a dilemma.

Does anyone know where I can buy the K70 Black edition with MX Blues? Or even browns? preferably blues though, and preferably shipped from UK to UK but not a must.

Sorry - don't mean to be a douche but I wanted the actual keyboard to be black and not silver.

Overclockers only just got my K70 black with brown key switches in stock after months of waiting. I think CCL Online was the only other place, but was more expensive.

You could try phoning a retailer to see if you could reserve one as soon as they get them, so you don't miss out if they come in stock without you realising.

Any idea when they will have them in stock or is there really no telling?

Ah alright - Why is it taking so long for anywhere to stock them? Was the keyboard only shortly been released?

Been out some time now, but I assume it's just on such high demand still, or maybe they hadn't made many UK layout ones? I don't know.

Also, some UK sites say gunmetal, and others say silver. Make sure it says black :P

I know, mine has a picture of a silver one, I hope it's black when I get it. Googling the product code doesn't seem to help either as that would be the best way to find out.

Take a look at this, has a short description on each of the key switches, obviously it's best to try each but doesn't seem to be that easy in the UK. I'm fairly sold on browns so hopefully they are the one for me.

Are MX Reds nice to type on?

All depends on personal preference. See below link with explanation f how the switches work and decide for your self. :D

Let me get things straight. CORSAIR DOESN'T MAKE A BLACK K70 WITH CHERRY MX BLUE SWITCHES. There.
