its really up to you depends what you do, if you watch Netflix the 7700k has an advantage. in most things its impossible to tell the difference between the 6700k and the 7700k. if you have a aio like h100 or a x61 you can get the 7700k to 5ghz.

no because the 7700K has more performance.

basically the 7700K is a factory overclocked 6700K (plus some other enhancements, but those are minor) because of this, the 7700K is very good at overclocking, and is overclocked (compared to the 6700K) out of the box.

 

because of this, it does run a little hotter
