AMD Ryzen Pentium Equivalent?

So the kaby lake pentium now has hyperthreading and so it's the best CPU under $100.

AMD's coming up with a 'cheap 4 core', gonna be targeted at the Pentium/i3 or what, because a 4 core (that actually has good single core performance) would do damn well in a market where dual cores have become dominant.

And I need a cheap CPU which can handle gaming and editing (I'm not going to buy a used xeon or such.)

But is the Pentium G4560 good for editing? 1080p 60fps... I have a laptop processor which is a dual core with 4 threads, although it's Ivy Bridge and there is the IPC gain, the upgrade still seems a bit underwhelming yet I need a new PC because my laptop broke.)

     You are Talking about the SR3 it is supposed to be a quad(I think its even hyper threaded) Not sure if it will be under 100$ though but I bet we see one for $120-150 though. Would be fantastic if they had a model under 100$ even if it has no Hyprer Threading.

Ryzen might bring such a model but intel won't budge that direction until they have competition.
