Are you going to over clock at all?

Because for $1400 i'm thinking you could do a lot better.

Not necessarily. Overclocking wise, no it's worse. HD graphics wise it's better.

The Graphics are the only thing that are better in the 4670K over the 3570K. Well that and energy efficiency.

Proof? They're both Quad Cores. One will produce more heat. Even when it's clocked 200Mhz lower.

clock for clock the 4670k is better than the 3570k, i wasnt accounting for heat

and z87 is a better chipset, if they do perform the same then by the chipset the z87 is better

Imo best balanced system:

http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/1XQV4

The cooler on the GFX card is beast , this results in titan like performance ( if overclocked of course ) and definitally beats the 290X ( with the stock cooler this is )

Also this build is extremely silent, all the parts are silence optimized.

My recommendations: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/1XVy5

What you choose for sound will really depend on how much money you want to sink into it--you might want to head over to the audio section for that.
