Is this pc worth building?

Ive been messing about on PCPartPicker over the last couple days and came up with this, https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/kggP9W, and was just wondering if this would have any issues besides not being able to play games on max settings. I dont really play the games that i do play for the graphics and would much rather future proof my CPU over my GPU. So will this build have any problems in gaming i.e bottlenecks, or will i be fine?

I'd probably look for a better cooler and if you can, try to fit an SSD in there.

Way, way easier to future proof by buying the cheap CPU on the latest platform today, then some years down the line buying the top-of the line one, used and for very little money. No I do not consider that build worth building.

I would buy the i7 7700 on a H110m, it would be stronger than the 6600k overclocked and cost the same(or even cheaper) as you can use stock cooler and the mobo is half the price, have less headaches from silicon lottery and overclock as a whole, have Hyper-Threading that will be more "future proof" while also being on Kaby Lake which is the latest platform.

Aside from that it is solid build you have there, but if its possible to make it to the rx470/480 it is advised, you are going for a lot of CPU power but not as much GPU power, an i5 7500 on the h110m with a rx 480 would have better over all performance in games and cost the same.

Its not a bad build...However with Ryzen being released in the next month or so if you can wait you should. Also if you are looking to future proof why did you go with the I5 6600K instead of the new I5 7600k and a Z270 mobo? Another thing to consider is if you are actually planning on overclocking. If not then an I5 7400 and a B250 mobo would be a more affordable alternative. Finally, like i said before if you can wait all of this should change in the next month.

That doesn't make any sense at all.

Why would someone wait years before they can play their games at decent settings in sake for better future performance?

Especially given the tiny performance changes year to year.

The only problem with that route is you have no guarantee that you'll get a motherboard with the appropriate BIOS update.

You don't? You can have good performance at decent settings with an i3 or equivalent today.

The gaming performance between an i5 and an i7 doesn't warrant that kind of wait.

You're still limited to ~one generation improvement. Again, not worth it. At that point you might as well just upgrade to the newer platform.
