  • The motherboard M.2 slot #0 shares bandwidth with a SATA Express port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA Express port is disabled.

this was in the Notices, what does this mean? it will still work right? Just that I can't use one port I wasn't planing on using?

Basically what it says. The M.2 drive will disable 2 sata ports (of the 6 on the board). At least that's what it says under motherboard specifications from Newegg's site. 4 SATA points should be more than enough anyways.

Why are you getting an M.2 drive in the first place? They are super expensive and I haven't ever run into a situation where an SSD isn't fast enough.

Also, why Windows 10 Pro instead of Home? You'll save $40 with Home.

Looks good for the most part. I don't know how good is that SSD, and Windows 10 Pro doesn't have that many features that make it worth $40 more (I'm on home, and I can say I've taken better control of that Win10 does or doesn't without needing Pro for that).

You're paying a bit much on the motherboard. Could easily be paying $140 and not lose out on anything.

Save money on this 3000MHz kit.

And used the money saved to get yourself a PSU that can handle 2 1070s, in case you want to SLI them in the future.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Thank you to everyone that replied to this post. Thank you not only for the help in picking out the correct parts, but even trying to save me money in places in different areas. Now I feel even more confident about being about to build a computer for the first time. Without a doubt i will be coming back to this forum after I've bought all the parts.

I see what you mean about the motherboard, i think I'll stick with the one i pick just for aesthetics.
