So I recently acquired a Windows 10 computer (Legally, I promise! We traded.) I do not know the password for it, and have no way of obtaining it. I was wondering if there's any way to boot in to safe mode, the BIOS, or somehow even skip the log in process entirely. Any help would definitely be appreciated.

Clean install windows, since it was already on there then it will activate itself and you don't need to worry about it becoming unactivated.

I'd recommend contacting the previous owner then going through all this hassle, but if it comes to the resort of having to 'hack' the devise you could watch this video by @LinusTech

I'm not sure how to set it up to boot off of other media, like I said, no BIOS access.

disconnect the harddrive and connect it to another mobo then run the tool mentioned to extract userdata. if that doesn't work then im out of ideas.
