Yes, it seems the ram is defective.

Tell them it failed memtest and causes crashes. Any computer shop will know what that means.

You may even want to bring in pictures of your screen shot from above.

I'd say it's imperative that he does.

That said, failing RAM can be the cause of a faulty Mobo, bent pins or unstable IMC in the CPU. But the ram is the easiest to swap out :)

@dariotrincas Just send them the link to this thread.

Test #7 does block moves that are higher bandwidth than any of the other tests. So memory that can't keep up with the full speed of the MB/CPU will often see errors that do not show up with other tests.

I don't know, I think it's odd that it failed in the same place twice.

Better yet, that it didn't fail any of the prior tests consistently.

So it's not like it'd be a bad module, right? At least not in the sense that it can't retain information, so it isn't OUTRIGHT busted.

I'd try bumping up CPU NB voltage a little. From what little I'm reading here, it's normal for these chips to run in the 1.2v range at stock voltage. So, maybe the motherboard is just being a bit stingy which is resulting in a single core failure when put under stress. This would probably render a more consistent result than an unstable clock, as it wouldn't fail until put under sufficient load.

Hi everybody. So I finally got the money to buy a new ddr4 stick. It passed the memtest without any error :)

Really happy about it. Also the stress tests are now going well.

Again, thank you for your support! It really helped me out.

Greetings from italy.
