Computer connecting to another's GPU?

Hi, I'm wondering if you can connect a computer to another computer's GPU, for possible improved graphics, etc...

well there is openCL over IP, but its for x86_64 linux only.

 

Won't work for games.

digital art (CGI) companies use distributed computing, AFAIK they do not use the GPU but CPU to render movies. I believe due to the higher available RAM. I did a job interview with Weta Digital a while back and what information i could phish out of them indicated they were not using GPUs in their render farm
