So let me start off by saying I'm completely new to PC building, but I've been considering building one.

Please tell me if I've forgotten anything as I'm very new to this and only yesterday I found out I needed a wireless network adapter in order to connect to my wifi!

I've kind of put together a list of parts, but idk is some are overkill or other underkill.

I'm from india, so not everything is available here

The 2 main sites I can purchase the parts from is Amazon.in and flipkart.com

So let's start off with the parts I have considered (any of the parts I put a ∆ next to refer to something I would like feedback on, such as it's overkill, there's a better option, or its underkill)

Also my budget is around 100000-120000 rs. (The closer to 1 lakh without many compromises the better!)

Also I might plan on over clocking in the future after I learn more about it ( or if you guys know more about it and could explain if it's worth it, then please do so so that the parts can be adjusted accordingly :) )

(Found the same one at a                             better price on Amazon but                         with kinda conflicting info so                       not sure if it's 1TB)                                         - https://goo.gl/6JmIP

[∆] Wireless Network Adapter - (only found out I needed this yesterday) (is this all I need to connect to WiFi) TP link (around 700) - https://goo.gl/4wbOsW

[∆] Fans - circle 120mm fans *2 (around 1k total) - https://goo.gl/oR8XKi

Keyboard - Redragon k552 mechanical keyboard (around 4k) - https://goo.gl/oPEbJA

I already own a mouse and headset so that's about it

As you can  tell I'm going for a red and black theme so when offering suggestions please try to make it fit that (Atleast let it be black) but still offer me the best suggestions regardless of design!

Sorry for making this so long, just wanted to be thorough.

Looking forward to any help and suggestions, thanks alot!

Shipping and import might set you back a bit on a few things, which is why I left enough of the budget out. The case is a placeholder.

Is the RX 480 better than the 1060? Cuz I've seen benchmarks of both being good at specific titles, also would the amd GPU have any less features to that of the 1060?

Thanks for the motherboard suggestion it saves me 5k, (can it overclock though?)

I don't think I can afford that case, it comes to around 17k on Amazon India

What's a Windows 10 OEM key? Shouldn't I but the original windows 10 64bit retail version?

Thanks for the feedback!

The PSU @Aereldor said before is good :D

Sorry just saw it, I've never heard of the brand before, that's what's worrying me.

Also didn't know I would have needed a 8k PSU :P

But if you think it's reliable and worth it, then I'll prob use it instead, thanks!

the RX 480 trades blows with the gtx 1060, some games are better on the 1060 while others are better on the 480(especially DX12 games) the only features AMD lacks over nvidia is CUDA support and game streaming IIRC. both the cpu and mobo he picked out will be able to overclock fine. the windows 10 OEM key is only different from the full retail copy in that the OEM cd-key is tied to the first motherboard while the retail key does not.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

So I should go with the RX 480 if I don't plan on game streaming (idk what cuda support is)

Also would it be possible to overclock the RX 480 (idk much about overclocking)

I didn't fully understand the windows 10 OEM, does that mean I have to download the software on another drive and will it be exactly  the same as a retail copy? Also would that still work in the future if I upgrade parts?

Thanks!

both the rx 480 and gtx 1060 are good choices for a gaming pc, pick whichever is cheaper or has the features you'll use.

all graphics cards will overclock so don't worry about it.

you'll need to burn the windows 10 installation files on a usb drive/disc and boot from that, then type in the cd-key once it tells you to do so. other than the OEM key being only able to be used once it doesn't have any other difference from the retail copy. it'll still work until you upgrade the motherboard, in which case you'll have to call microsoft to activate it or get a new cd-key.

Go with an Rx480 (costs about 19/21K)

If you are planning to Oc  go with on AiO  loop (H100i costs about 7k)

Asus z170A is a better mobo (about 14k)

All circle/zebronics cases are plastic crap ..buy a Cm master box 5/ versa N25 over cc830 ( used the cc840 for a client build some time back)

For Os check out

Kinguin

Thats a pretty good Kb

I don't think you can close a thread. A mod/admin would have to do it AFAIK.
