Water cooler

Hi Guys! 

 

My dad has asked for what I want for my 18th birthday. I was thinking for asking him for a water cooler, which one should I get? We live in the UK (Not really any set budget I suppose? I have a phanteks enthoo pro m acrylic

 

I have a be quiet dark rock 3 

 

I want a cooler that looks nice, fits in my case and is near damn silent, I hate noise in my pc with a passion

air coolers are quieter most of the time, especially when you are pushing your system to the limit. water coolers do look nicer, but at the cost of more noice.

Buy big and set your fan curves so that the fans run at lowest speed all the time.

 

I have my H115i set to throttle up from 30% to 100% at 75* over a period of 125 seconds. It's quiet (quiet enough for me to sleep at night), and I'll bet if i throw some SilentWings3 PWM fans on there, it'll be even quieter. but at speeds above 1200RPM with the stock corsair fans it's VERY loud.

Yes new serioes from NZXT should be very silent.

 

But I'm not sure if you will get any lower temperatures with AIO. be quiet dark rock 3 is a decent cooler.

May I ask what are your temps now? What CPU are you using? Any OC? voltage?

Or you want AIO just because it looks cool? That was acctually my reason for buying first AIO so I can relate to that

Its 35-40 dbs at load so its pretty quiet if you ask me. Stock fans are fine but you could get some better, quiter ones if you want it to be quieter
