I'm looking at the Intel Ark and the "processor graphics field" is empty for all CPUs I listed.

Maybe it has iGPU disabled directly from Intel.

Wait, you can oveclock these?

Whats wrong with it? Is 485m like a better/optimised revision of 480m?

Nice find, I didn't know the mobile line only had iGPUs on the dual cores. I knew the 1st gen mainstream line had iGPUs. Interesting! Thanks for proving me wrong =D

XM? Of course. They're mobile extreme.... unlocked multiplier. You can even overclock your i7-740QM a bit, as far as I remember. Not more than a couple hundred MHz though.

485M is GF104 and 480M is GF100. 480M was a SEVERELY cut down full-core top-end desktop card that was extremely hot and barely offered performance even close to its power draw and heat output. The 470M turned out to be faster, so they released the 485M quick quick to save face. Your 470M is a better card than a 480M, but not a 485M. Basically, GF100 was too ill-suited for laptops, but the midranged GF104/GF114 was perfect (considering Fermi; Fermi wasn't such a great architecture considering heat/power draw).

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

The 485M is essentially a GTX 460 in a laptop... which isn't great but it's not bad. :P The 480M was Nvidia's attempt at putting a GF100 GPU in a mobile format. I.E. they took the GTX 465 and underclocked it to 450mhz core and it actually ran slower than the 470M. Wasn't until the GF104, which housed the GTX 460 and 560, that the 485M was born. <3
