So I got my new card today R7 260x , after a hour of gaming graphics started to glitch and when I quit the game my screen just went all black ,couldnt do anything else but restart.

After that I got some directx error and now I can only see a black blinking screen.

What game did you run and at what settings? You may have fried the VRAM or some shit :(

BF4 on low.

In that case my best bet is problems with the game (it still got quite a bit of problems) :/

If not that you probably used some corrupt or bad driver...

Have you tried any other game? Battlefield 4 is known to having some problems at the moment. Are your drivers updated?

If still no joy I would RMA the card, you might have a faulty one.

Can you try another GPU to see if it get's past it? I'd definitely RMA the card.

So you see bios post and windows loading (might  be just bad drivers)... try going to safe mode.  Keep pressing F8 key after system turns on.

or boot of windows disk / usb and do system restore.

I swaped back my old card , uninstalled all drivers then put back in the new card and still black screen.

could it be a PSU issue. can you try plugging the GPU into different spot on the PSU?

I'm assuming your supporting hardware is up to snuff.  But you can try what @Hammerhead mentioned.

So I did a fresh Windows install and everything seems fine except it doesnt detects my GPU lol ,,,

you mean when you try to install AMD drivers?

win7/8?

500W PSU is more than enough for this card, It has only one 6 pin connector where else could i plug it in?

Win8 , I installed latest AMD drivers.

If your old card also used a pcie 6pin too, I can't think of much else... pretty much cause for asking retailer for replacement (not warranty as you end up with a refurb! ).  Hope they don't charge for shipping.

Installed latest BETA driver  and guess what ? it detected GPU lol , everything seem back to normal but im scared to play anything as this was the driver that caused problems.

You have to stress the card now, if it fails again, RMA, if not you can stop worrying. Because it seemed like a driver problem, unless you OCed the card?.
